What I’m Learning, and Actually Implementing with AI This Week
I have spent a lot of time this week learning. Not just watching videos, saving prompts, or reading about everything artificial intelligence can supposedly do. I’m actually using it. Testing it. Building with it. And I think that is where things get interesting.

I have spent a lot of time this week learning.
Not just watching videos, saving prompts, or reading about everything artificial intelligence can supposedly do.
I’m actually using it. Testing it. Building with it.
And I think that is where things get interesting.
The biggest thing I’m learning is that AI isn’t really about replacing what I do.
It’s about helping me do what I already know how to do—faster, smarter, and with better systems behind me.
I’m Learning Attraction Marketing Differently
One of the things I’ve been studying is attraction marketing.
For years, marketing often meant finding people, presenting something, following up, and hoping they were interested.
Attraction marketing turns a lot of that thinking around.
Instead of constantly chasing people, I’m learning how to create information, stories, resources, and experiences that make the right people curious enough to come closer.
That means thinking more about:
- What people are already struggling with
- What questions they are asking
- What would genuinely help them
- What I’ve learned that could save someone else time
- How my own experiences can become useful content
AI helps me take those ideas and turn them into something I can actually use.
I’m Building Systems Instead of Starting Over Every Day
This may be my favorite lesson.
I don’t want to wake up every morning wondering:
“What in the world am I going to post today?”
Or spend hours creating the same kinds of things over and over.
I’m learning to build systems.
A good system can help me take one idea and turn it into a blog post, social posts, video ideas, emails, graphics, follow-up messages, and other content.
One thought can become an entire week of marketing.
That is a very different way of working.
And AI makes it possible without needing a huge staff sitting in another room.
I’m Learning That the Prompt Is Only the Beginning
At first, AI can seem almost magical.
Type something into a box and something appears.
But the more I use it, the more I realize something important:
AI is only as useful as the thinking behind it.
I still have to know what I believe.
I still have to know who I want to help.
I still have to decide what sounds like me and what absolutely does not.
AI can organize my thoughts, challenge my ideas, help me research, brainstorm different angles, and speed up the creation process.
But I’m still the one steering.
And I like it that way.
I’m Creating My Own Digital Tools
This week I’ve also been thinking much bigger about AI.
Instead of just asking, “How can I use ChatGPT?” I’m beginning to ask:
“What can I build with AI?”
Could I create tools that help people understand their marketing?
Could AI help someone uncover their message, their audience, their brand personality, and what makes them different?
Could I build systems that guide someone step-by-step instead of giving them another course to buy and never finish?
Those questions have opened a whole new door for me.
I’m working on ideas that combine marketing psychology, branding, systems, and AI into tools people can actually use.
That part is especially exciting.
I’m Simplifying My Own Online Business
Another thing AI is forcing me to do is simplify.
That probably sounds backward.
You would think adding more technology would make things more complicated.
It can.
But I don’t want complicated technology.
I want technology that makes life less complicated.
So I’m looking at my websites, content, marketing, training, follow-up, and business systems and asking:
Does this make things easier—or did I just create another thing I have to manage?
That question alone has changed several decisions I’ve made this week.
I’m Learning by Doing
I am not pretending to have AI completely figured out.
I don’t think anybody does.
It is changing too fast.
What I am doing is learning it the way I’ve learned most things in business:
I get curious.
I try something.
I mess it up.
I figure out why.
I try it again.
And when I discover something useful, I find a way to make it simpler so someone else can use it too.
That has always been one of the things I enjoy most.
The Real Magic Isn’t AI
Here is probably my biggest takeaway from this week.
AI by itself isn’t the magic.
The magic happens when you combine your experience, your ideas, your personality, your knowledge, and your imagination with tools that help you bring those things to life.
That is what I’m exploring now.
I’m learning how to use AI to help me think bigger without making my life busier.
To create without staring at a blank screen.
To build systems instead of constantly starting over.
To market by helping instead of chasing.
And eventually, to create tools that can help other people do the same thing.
I have a feeling I’m only scratching the surface.
And for once, being a student again feels pretty exciting.
Maybe the question isn’t whether AI is going to change the way we do business.
It already is.
The better question might be:
What are we going to create with it?All journal notes
