Life doesn’t always go according to plan.

Like most people, I once had a pretty clear picture of how life was supposed to unfold. It didn’t quite cooperate.

I’ve spent more than three decades in sales, marketing and entrepreneurship. I’ve built businesses, led teams, written books, worked in media, learned new technologies and reinvented myself more than once.

Along the way, life changed in ways I never expected. Some changes I chose. Others I definitely didn’t.

What I’ve learned is that a new chapter rarely begins when everything feels easy. It begins when you decide there may still be something worth discovering on the other side of what happened.
